Scribner Hollow Farm is located at 1261 Scribner Hollow Road in East Jewett, NY.
The farm has been listed in the town atlas since the 1860’s. In the 1930’s and 40’s it was known as the Potato King Farm. From there it was turned into a dairy/cattle operation and then eventually a horse farm. After that, it lay fallow for years. Now, I’m returning it to its original use.
As for me, I grew up on a farm in a small town. Along the way, I accumulated over 20 years of experience in the retail and food production industry. Now I find myself operating a farm of my own.
Starting in 2008, initially with just a small garden, I grew progressively larger amounts of an increasing number of crops, which at first were for just myself and then later for the extended family and friends. In 2016, the amounts grown had finally gotten large enough to once again be a farm and that’s when I opened up the farm stand, offering fresh, wholesome food to the local community and beyond.
