Well, the rain finally let up long enough to get some work done in the field. The ground is mostly prepped and these are furrows for the first batch of potatoes (Reds and Russets), which will be planted Tuesday.
With the weather as cold as it is on the mountaintop, which is still running about 10ºF below average, planting of more temperature sensitive crops will just have to wait. Carrots and a few others will be direct seeded this week before the next round of rain, expected to be here on Friday.
So in just another week, I should be able to get more of the regular plants put into the ground.
