Special Update 06-11-16

Well, overnight last night saw temps hit a low of 32.7 degrees, with patchy frost across portions of the field.  There does not seem to be significant crop damage, but I would expect there to be some to the more sensitive crops, as this type of damage can take a few hours to appear.

Additionally, there was some damage caused by the high winds we had from Wednesday through Friday, with beans, tomatoes and corn being the hardest hit.

Assessments will be made over the next couple of days to see what’s lost and if I have enough additional seedlings to fill in the damaged plants.
