Frost and Freeze

Overnight temps dropped below freezing for the first time this season, with the low recorded here at the farm as 29.8F. Precautions were taken in advance, since forecasts called for the drop. However, the recorded temps were 4-5 degrees below forecast temps. It will take 24-36 hours for any frost/freeze damage to completely show itself.

I had spent numerous hours over the last few days preparing as best I could for these temps. Now, only time will tell if the effort paid off.
